Gorgeous! Those warm tones are killer. What gear did you use?

Thanks! That was the Canon G11, my indispensible tool when in places (like Naples) where walking around with my full kit would attract the wrong kind of attention...

Good call! If traveling to Italy, would you say Naples is one of the must see locations? I've been thinking about a jump across the pond for an extended vacation but I'm just not sure where the best opportunities might be.

Naples hides wonderful artistic and architectural treasures, but they are not easy to find without an expert guide. I woud say, on a first visit, concentrate on the natural beauty of the Amalfi drive,Sorrento and Capri, and take a guided tour of the city itself (unkess, of course, you know a local, in which case allow for more time)
I was born in Italy, and know Rome and Florence well. I visit frequently, I know my way around, and never feel I've had enough time. To a new visitor, I would recommend at least five days in each, and plan each day carefully. The Michelin Green Guides are excellent aides in this.
If you decide on an itinerary, I'll be glad to share some of what I know:)

The lighting is so lovely in this landscape.  Did you travel any closer to the volcano?

Thank you. Yes, the quickest to route to Vietri and the Amalfi drive skirts it, and I usually go that way. But the best perspective is from  the city.
