Was out practicing some timelapse work and took a couple of long-exposure shots. Would appreciate any comments on the processing (not the composition, which is kinda dull). Notably exposure, color, sharpness.

Yeah, these really work for me.  Nice detail, what lens did you use here?  Regarding the processing, again it works.  You left the darks, dark and the colors pop just enough from there.  The glow from the road IMO energizes the photo.

Thank you. I used a Tamron 28-75 at 28mm. It's an awesome lens. Its quirks are worth the trouble given the IQ it can produce.

The Second shoot for me is powerful, The Amount of Light in there is perfect

I went back and forth a few times and it's tough to say for me which stands out more.  Both bring something different to the table.  You asked about processing, IMO excellent job here.

#1 for me, post work is awesome, very sharp, perfect tones for me.  Actually the street lights in #2 could be cooled just a tad.

Very nice images. If there is a problem and it's only a slight one, is what appears to be some halo around a couple of the buildings. Some of it occurs naturally but a couple of places, it appears to be from processing.

Yep. A lot of it is in the original image, perhaps from the long exposure? My manipulations only emphasized it, which I I'm not sure I like. I've toyed with the idea of cloning it out but not really sure it's worth the effort. An almost-over-the-top approach to the image makes it, for me, acceptable.

I wouldn't bother as they are fine images as they are. It was a very minor nit pick. Changing them will not affect the overall impact of people looking at the images.

I like the low-key of the first shot depicting the dark of night.
I personally might have tried to get a little more detail out of the solid blacks.

I like the composition of the second shot, the road taking the eye very deep into the shot.
The vertical lines of the buildings towards the left and right sides is so easy to fix in Photoshop.
