How to use Hitech 10 Stop ND filter?

Will this filter fit in a Lee bracket?  Also mine came with no instructions, how long are you supposed to expose shots during sunlight?  I was hoping for some directions.

Don't know about the fit" question, but the cameras internal meter should compensate for the exposure

Yes it should fit the Lee holder, but I rarely use a holder with my ND filters. I do the old fashioned hand holding over the lens. Also it allows you to focus first if you want to use AF, then switch to manual, and then set your shutter speed for your effect. As far as how long you are supposed to expose depends. What effect are you looking for with the subject you are shooting? This decides what your exposure settings are. The great thing about the digital medium is you can shoot several images, and get different effects for the same subject using the filter. For example on waterfalls, the longer the exposure the silkier the water.

I haven't tried it out on my Nikon D300 or my D7100, but I used to use a Hoya R72 IR pass filter on my old D70s & it would both AF & meter with that filter on & the filter blocked almost all visible light. Mainly passed just IR wavelengths. That's why I think the AF & metering would work in your case. Only trying it will answer that for certain...

That's right, they are pretty much the same brackets.
