One time years ago I was going to work on some shots like this. I searched and found the perfect specimen. Just as I was getting ready to take my first shot, I was close and an unexpected sneeze came on and I blew away half of the seed heads. :lol: I just put everything away and walked away.:angry:

Exactly. I ended up touching one side of this one just before the first shot, so I made do. I'll try again at some point. What I'd really like is a big one; this was less than 1.5" across.

Nicely detailed images - and to my eye, #3 is the standout image

The beautiful simplicity of the seed head and stalk, stark against the black background makes it the best of the three for me
I can also see this as a poster-print on your loungeroom wall :)
