Greetings from Isaan... northeast Thailand.. my home for the last 6 years.. the people here are ethnically Lao and have their own language and culture distinct from Thai culture.. and have their own cuisine.. in a word "SPICY" they love chilies here.. and sticky rice .. BBQ pork & chicken.. 'som tam' spicy papaya salad with lime & fish sauce..  Their traditional costume is colorful and accented with beautifully hand woven silks & cottons in stunning (& complicated) geometrical designs.. 98% of the people here are Theravada Buddhists.. with a bit of animist and ancient Indian belief thrown in..  The climate is tropical..  wet season May to November.. (a time of luminous skies dramatic thunder & lightning storms.. and torrential rain)... the end of November to the end of January is 'winter'.. with temperatures down to a chilly  14 or 15C at night.. and warm days (24 to 30C).. the end of January marks the beginning of the HOT season.. clear skies .. with temperatures in the high 30s..  There are wonderful colorful celebrations through the year... featuring traditional costume & dance and  celebration of Buddhist traditions...   I will try to share some of the magic of this wonderful place off the beaten track through my photos.   My equipment is basic.. I shoot all my photos with a Panasonic Lumix LX5.. all shots are hand held.. even the panoramas.. I stitch with Arc-soft and do a bit of post processing with Picasa..    Welcome to Isaan...   Larry

Hello, exposure all comes down to aperture, ISO and shutter speed. Each one has a different effect on exposure.
