Hello from Southern Illinois

Hello everyone,

I have recently decided to get back in to photography. Use to have an old canon point and shoot with full manual control in high school. I learned the exposure triangle, and wanted to get a DSLR. Well 10 years later and I bought a Nikon D7200 used, came with two kit lens (18-55 and 55-200), two cheapo lens (XIT extra wide angle and a Vivitar full manual 500mm), batteries, and all kinds of of accessories, for $850. The camera had 297 shutter actuations.

I bought a promaster xc525 for the ability to shoot straight down. I am a LEO and I do crime scene photography, and shooting footwear or something on the ground, I need to be able to shoot straight down. When I don't work I like taking Landscape and wildlife photos. I will take photo graphs of just about anything, if it means I can use my camera and take photos.

I'm currently enrolled in a photography for beginners class and will take the advanced class in the spring. I have already learned a lot about composition from this site, and about post processing. I will continue to learn, and hopefully get better as I go.
