I'm a retired public school teacher (in environmental science on the elementary level), semi-retired wedding photographer, and an image maker still. I've been doing photography since being given a box Brownie Hawkeye as a child in the '50s. I taught photography to adults in the 1980s and have been into many forms of professional photographic endeavors. It's nice to be an amateur again and not an expert. I like landscape, macro, casual street photography, and the joy of snap-shooting.
Well, I hope this is a place I"ll enjoy.

I am new here also. Retired and feel the same way you do. I also belong to another site which is all about photographs. They review your photographs and let you know what is good and what needs work etc. They have some kind of point system. Where, you review others work. This then gain points for you to move your work up. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I have gotten some reviews that I have been able to learn by. Its called fanview its free.
After coming out of retirement I wanted to know where I stood as a photographer in this new age. It really helped. Well, welcome hope to talk again. Lynn
