Nikon D7600 Release Date

6 years 3 months ago #560248 by Dragonflies
I'm likely going to pull the trigger on the Nikon D7500 unless someone talks me out of it.  Just out of curiosity, is the D7600 expected to come out any time in the next couple months?

If so, I'll hold off and wait for this to hit the streets vs buying the D7500.

Let me know please.

You can check nikonrumors.com, but Nikon, et. al., don't willingly give out information about their product plans pre-release. The D7500 isn't that old (less than a year), so I wouldn't expect a refresh for a while.

Also, what is it about the D7500 you think needs improvement? I'd personally get that one, waiting for a Nikon announcement or a upgrade can be painful...(see the D400 for example)

Why so serious?

Well it wasn't so much what the D7500 didn't have.  It's buying something because it's the latest and don't want to spend the higher premium and only have something new come out and depreciate my new camera over night.

Actually I might just go with the D7100 now.

You can't ever escape the possibility of something new appearing.

Therefore, buy last year's technology. It's already been superceded, so you already know where you stand. And the price is always going to drop, no matter what. It's a given. It's not an investment, it's an expense. The only question is, is what I'll pay worth what this will provide? Ever.

Why aren't you considering a D7200?

Yes, but its a certainty something new will appear. However, I've found you can't make photos with a "coming" camera, no matter how advanced...

Same here. I want a fully articulated screen though. Debating the D7200 to save cash.

D7500 may be worth the extra dosh for action pictures!

Any updates on the Nikon D7600 release date?  I've been sitting on a D7200 that has some issues for some time waiting for the D7600 to come up.

I would guess 2 years or maybe never. It could fall by the wayside and be replaced by a mirrorless model.

Going off that, you're looking at some time around April 2019 based on 2 year record

Q1 or Q2 of 2019 would be my guess

That's a pretty wide window, lol, but sounds about right when you look at other release dates.
