how to stamp time on photos

Hello everyone! New here and I hope someone can help with this question. I have a Pentax K100D and I want the date I took the picture stamped on each shot. How do I do this??

welcome to the group russel. how to stamp time on photo that would be in the camera setting i think . read your manual and see if you can find it

Actually you can't. Most APS film cameras and digital cameras stopped putting data in the image where it ruined the aesthetics of the image. The data is stored in the EXIF portion of the picture file. You can use the software shipped with the camera to read this data and much much more. I hope this helps.

This is the PDF owners manual on pg 85 is the instructions for printing images with the date but that is all I could find. www.pentaximaging.com/files/manual/K100D%20Manual.pdf

When I did a search to see if I could help you I did find references to this program I HAVE NEVER USED IT so I can not recommend it, you can look in to it and see if you think it will do what you want. www.irfanview.com/
