A portrait of my lovely bride, Jennifer. She had suffered from an invisible illness for about 6 years when this shot was taken. Her symptoms included dizziness, nausea, migraines that last for weeks, extreme sensitivity to sound, extreme sensitivity to light, and seemingly damaged cognitive function. We'd been to a multitude of specialists and had found no relief for her at all, until, we found the right doctor! He quickly saw that she needed to be tested for the possibility of having Superior Semi-Circular Canal Dehiscence and so she began a battery of testing that lasted a few weeks. At the very moment that this shot was taken she was starting the last vestibular function test and she was about 45 minutes from hearing that a brain surgery could completely fix her problem and give her her life back. She had the surgery about 10 days later and 2 days after surgery, her symptoms started to subside....The pain was gone at last. :)

Sometimes to get the shot you live with the noise. Shot with my D70 @ 35mm, 1600 ISO, f2.8, 125th sec. I brought this up about 2 stops in PS to bring it up to exposure and ran a Topaz denoise.

Another shot of Jennifer taken exactly one month after her brain surgery. At her request, we went for a short hike and here she is holding her beloved D60.

Shot with my D70, Nikkor 80-200mm f4.5 Ai'd (Manual focus) @ 200mm, 400 iso, 1/320th sec, f4.5.

ANGOLAN FAMILY : This is one of my favourites from our recent trip to Namibia and Botswana. Early one evening we took a boat ride on the Kavango River between Namibia and Angola and there were all sorts of people on the Angolan side - collecting water, washing clothes, bathing children etc. This mother with her young family just captured my eye and the beautiful little girl on the left started posing the minute she saw the camera. I couldn't resist! It was taken with a 300mm lens at F6.3 1/200th sec and ISO200.

I took this one at a recent destination wedding shoot in Islamorada, Fl... I've been asked to make this into a postcard.
I used my Canon D5 18-55mm f2.4 AV mode.

A small group of 4 go out once a month to different places to shoot photos. This was taken at Lake View Cemetary in Seattle where the founding fathers, as well as Bruce Lee, are buried.
