Custom white balance using Expodisc

8 years 6 months ago #459703 by GWS
Hey gang, I recently bought one of these Expodisc white balancing filters and for the most part it works as it's advertised.  However every once and awhile one of my shots will have a slightly blue hue to it.  I'm wondering why this could be happening?

Are you using any different camera settings or lens?   I have one of these and when I do use it, it works flawlessly each time.

No issues with mine either although I seldom have a need for it. Only use it in "Mixed" light situations.

I have one that honestly I haven't used yet.   I might need to try it this weekend.

Sounds like you had your setting that was just to cool for those shots that have the blue hue to them.

Expodisc is a solid gadget to have, you most likely accidentally fudged the white balance.
