How easy to use is Wolverine F2D Titans for converting old film to digital?

6 years 8 months ago #539058 by Thomas S
I have 2 boxes of old film negatives and need a way to quickly convert to digital.  Have any of you used this?  I had one of their F2D Mighty's however that was stolen (with my computer) last year when my house was broken into.  I had never used yet.  Actually I bought it for this purpose.  So it has taken me nearly a year to swing back to these boxes of negatives.

I didn't ask before I bought the Mighty, but will now.  So any info you can provide, that would be great.  Thank you.

Thomas

I need to check with what brand my sister bought, but she was asking the same question no less than 4 weeks ago.  She's not a photographer, but I am, so she figured I had all the answers.  Not the case.

It is very very easy. It is a stand-alone machine where you don't need to learn new software or even use a computer. You feed your negatives, you preview them as positive images and then you press the Convert button and then Enter to save. It takes 3 seconds to scan a frame. Check the video below, it is for the Mighty but the Titan works exactly the same:

Excellent, thank you for sharing this.  What size are the files when scanned?

You can process thousands. The unit does not have any moving parts and it does not require service.

That is great, but how is that possible?  Isn't this a mini scanner or is there other technology going on here?

Very straight forward.  Few taps of some buttons and your scan is on it's way.  Bottle of wine, some jazz and a afternoon and you'll be on your way.
