We are still having issues with expansion, Cougars, bear, many bird species, etc are in trouble. Good signs though elk, bison and wolves are recovering well. It will continue to take a total effort, and those leading the way are America's hunters. Go figure.

Our biggest threat shifted from the elephant for ivory to the rhino for their horn for virility, cancer, hangover...  Such are the believes of the Chinese and Vietnamese. 
One horn at $300000 is enough to buy a comfortable house here.
