I just decided never to move to a place that has temperatures lower than freezing point. Except for two years of compulsory military service (which strengthened my decision), I am cold free.

Colds aren't caused by cold, but some tropical diseases like  malaria, cholera, chagas, yellow fever, tse tse and  dengue, etc. can't survive our winters. Its a trade off I happily accept.

None here by me too. Only malaria when we move to the northern borders of the country.

We also don't experience drought or water shortages, thanks to the annual snowpack.

We are finished with at least a third of our dry season and our dam levels are on 83.9%. Yet still no watering garden with a hose or sprinkler system.

So what do you water a lawn with a turkey baster? I water when I want and wash the vehicles a couple times a week, in good weather.

Paved my lawn. Luckily a small garden. Pool takes space too.
Some people have wells.

I like having a lawn, no need for a parking lot.

You must love the lawnmower too. With kids all grown, no need for lawn. Nice to go small and low impact as we get older.

I have a large lawn and still use a walk behind mower. The exercise does me good and my property doesn't smell like a desert......:)
