Indians in SA live mostly in Durban, about 1000 miles away.
Curries in Cape Town have a Malay influence, which is milder.

Confusing word.
To distinguish, we just speak about "Indians" (from India) and "Red Indians", native Americans. Is that a derogatory term?  (Would not know, never been there.)
