I might be heading back to the states in November to be with my family.  Anyone else doing any traveling towards the end of this year?

Yes. A lot, for my job. But most of the time not far.

You drive around mostly for yours right?  Or are you ever getting into a plane?

In my 17 years of scouting, I have flown three times to locations more than 1000km away.
I have driven to locations that far, but then I do others on the way.

Years ago I did technical (eg. mapping) aerial photography from a plane. I used the skydiving plane. I could lie on my stomach and lean out the open door for some vertical shots.

You need to be a lot of years to have that word in your vocabulary.
