Some shots of (arguably) one of the most photographed churches in NM.

Interesting shots Gary,
I like #2 the best, something about the color depth & contrasts. I had to look up this place and you we're right, there are a ton of pics of it but these are quite well done.

I always have to go by here when I'm in New Mexico. Nice images but I think you went a little over the top on the sky in the color images. I do like the strong treatment of the building in number 2 but the sky is just too much for me. There is also a piece that's needs cloning in the upper right of image 2.

Thank you. I had not noticed the thread, which is gone in this version. There's also a pigeon up there, which I can't decide if I should remove...

I backed off on the clouds in this one, but much of the color comes from using a CPL. And honestly, I rather like angry clouds. Given the oversaturated crap that seems to garner so much attention (here, on FB and IG, etc) I figured, why not be a bit extreme? I can do worse than polarize opinion, right?

I'm the same way with clouds, ominous looking clouds show more character IMO.  Honestly out of all of these shots, it's the black and white one that really sits well with me.  Very nice either way

I like the retouched version of #2, honestly didn't notice the pigeon there. Did you try to play with the shadows on the wall itself ? That's the only thing I could think to try to make it even better maybe?

I should have been more specific. I thought the clouds were fine. The blue part of the sky is what I was referring to. I like strong blues but these were a little extreme in my opinion and it's just that. An opinion.

I like this one the best.  If you hadn't mentioned the pigeon I would not have noticed.  Now that is where my eye keeps going.  Get rid of the pesky thing :P

As a composition I like the stark simplicity of #3 the best.

Okey dokey, now that I've stopped laughing...

And it's much appreciated. I'll have to play further; I usually take the deepening of the blue along with the detail in the clouds (thank you, Clarity). I guess I see this as comparable to darkening a sky when editing B&W. Thank you, nonetheless. I'll have to engage some masking, I think.

And now I want to leave the pigeon alone :-)

Not sure what else one could do with the shadows... I suppose I could deepen them, but there's already a lot of burning going on.

I'm definitely in love with the B&W.

The B&W one IMO is a great example of fine art.  I'd hang it on my wall.
