The Leica Q2 is a new camera that revolves around a full-frame 47.3MP sensor and Maestro II image processor. It is a successor to the Leica Q which was released four years ago.

Leica Q2 Design
As you would have guessed, the Leica Q2 looks very similar to its predecessor. It was built out of magnesium alloy and it has environmental sealings that should protect the camera even during heavy rains or dust storms.
The Q2 was prepared for any kind of environment, but this came at a certain price. The camera weighs 1.58 lb so it is not the lightest full-frame camera ever made. Still, bear in mind that the Q2 comes with an attached prime lens so be careful when comparing the weight of this camera with other models that use the interchangeable lens.
When we compare the design of Q2 with its predecessor we can see there are minor changes. For example, the thumb rest and grip are much more comfortable than in the earlier model.
The camera has a high-resolution 3.68MP OLED electronic viewfinder for clear eye-level monitoring and rear 3.0" 1.04m-dot touch screen LCD which affords straightforward playback and settings control.

Leica Q2 Specs
The Leica Q2 features a redeveloped Maestro II image processor, which allows fast shooting performance which goes up to 10 fps with a mechanical shutter, and up to 20 fps with an electronic one. The new processor also provides the possibility for 4K video recording. The camera can shoot both DCI 4K 24p and UHD 4K 30p video, along with high-speed Full HD recording at up to 120p.
We already mentioned the camera has a 47.3 MP full-frame CMOS sensor, but it also provides 13 stops of dynamic range, low noise, and a wide sensitivity range that goes from ISO 50 to ISO 50000. This means you don’t need to worry about taking photos in low-light situations or even during nighttime.
In comparison to the Leica Q, the Q2 has much longer battery life and you can expect to shoot 350 images per charge. The camera comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies that will help you to connect the camera to your smart devices.
