The Fujifilm X-T2 is now three years old, but it's still a solid buy in 2019. To begin with, this mirrorless camera offers incredible versatility, while its image quality and performance are also hard to fault.
Despite being compact and lightweight, the X-T2 packs powerful features such as a 24.3MP sensor, a superb autofocus system, fast burst shooting speed, and 4K video recording capabilities. All of this makes it one of the best all-round cameras on the market.

Fujifilm X-T2 Specs
At the core of the Fujifilm X-T2 sits a 24.3mp X-Trans III sensor and an X Processor Pro. This combination has shown to produce very good results in terms of image quality and processing speed.
The camera has a native sensitivity range of ISO 160 – 51,200 (RAW) and an extended ISO range from ISO 100 to 51200 (JPEG-only). Overall, it has a very impressive dynamic range and it will take great photos in virtually any situation.
When it comes to autofocus system, the Fujifilm X-2 performs quite well. It has 325 AF points and it is both fast and precise.
The X-T2 is also quite good for photographing moving targets such as sports players or wildlife. It has continuous shooting speeds up to 14 fps if you are using the electronic shutter and 8fps with the mechanical shutter. Additionally, if you attach the Vertical Power Booster Grip shown below, the X-T2 can shoot at 11 fps with the mechanical shutter.

Fujifilm X-T2 Body & Design
The Fujifilm X-T2 looks like a rangefinder camera. Its design is simple but pleasingly retro and practical. As it is the case with most of the mirrorless models, the X-T2 is compact and lightweight. The camera measures 5.2 x 3.6 x 1.9 inches and weighs only around 1 pound.
This camera’s EVF (2,360,000-dot OLED electronic viewfinder) is very good. It has a refresh rate of 60 fps in normal mode and 100 fps in burst shooting mode. This means you will hardly notice any lag while framing shots with the viewfinder.
The LCD screen measures 3 inches and it has a resolution of 1,040,000 dots. Additionally, it can be tilted in all possible directions and this is particularly convenient for shooting images from uncomfortable angles.

Fujifilm X-T2 - Build and Handling
If you’ve ever used a Fujifilm camera, you will not have any problem with handling the X-T2. However, if you don’t have a lot of experience in using Fujifilm’s camera it might take some time to learn how to use the camera’s settings and controls.
Although it is very small, the X-T2 is weather-sealed so it is also very practical if you are into travel photography. It works well in freezing and hot temperatures, while moisture and humidity shouldn’t do much harm to the camera in small doses. Still, it is not weather-proofed so take necessary precautions while using the camera.
The camera’s grip should feel comfortable for most of the photographers. However, with the additional Vertical Power Booster Grip you get a beefier surface on which to grip the camera.
Fujifilm X-T2 Video Performance
As you can see, the Fujifilm X-T2 is an excellent camera for stills. Now, let’s see how it performs when it comes to video.
The X-T2 is the first Fujifilm camera that is capable of recording 4K videos. Although it can’t record 4K at 60p as its successor (the X-T3), it shoots 4K videos at 24p, 25p, and 30p. Moreover, it offers Full HD recording at up to 60p, HDMI output (4:2:2 color sampling and 8-bit compression), F-Log, while you can also attach headphones if you use an additional power grip.
4K videos have 1.17x crop factor, but the good thing is that the X-T2 captures (almost) 6K videos that are afterward downsampled to a 4K video.

Fujifilm X-T2 – Lenses
The Fujifilm X-T2 uses the X mount, but you can also use other types of lenses with the help of additional adapters such as the Fujifilm M Mount Adapter or H Mount Adapter.
Some of the best lenses for the Fujifilm X-T2 include:

Although it is already three years old, the Fujifilm X-T2 is not outdated and it is as good as many of the recently released cameras. If you want to buy a new one, you will need to spend around $1,599.00 for the body only.
