Photographers love to display photos. It’s art! We do it so there’s an element of self-pride. It allows us to incorporate our images into our home or office decor. If we work as a photographer, having something to present to our clients as ideas to display photos we’ve made for them can please them and improve our bottom line.

The regular ideas of how to display photos, such as paper enlargements and canvas wraps, plus newer printing methods, including metal prints and acrylic prints, are great for many uses. Sometimes, though, we’re looking for more unique ideas to display photos that we can incorporate into our decor or as a product to offer our clients.

Common Ways to Display Photos

The most common method to display prints is to make a paper print as an enlargement. These  prints can be mounted onto matte boards and hung as is or put into a frame. Matted prints are also commonly used in portfolios for showing work to clients and art directors.

We can also display prints as a canvas wrap or on other materials. We have options for the sizes and surface finishes as well. So it may seem that these should be enough different printing options for us, but there are some other ways to display prints that are interesting and can really enhance a display of photography.
