35mm or 50mm prime lens?

If you were traveling and only bringing one prime, which of these would you bring with you?  50mm seems like the middle of the road lens, however I just love the wide angle that they 35mm gives me.

I'm so on the fence.  Help PT!

If we are talking about simply one lens in the bag or on me.  You can't say no to the 50mm.  Just to versatile IMO.

Depends on the destination.  But this is why I don't bother much with prime lenses.

Although I use my 35mm often compared to my 50mm.  If I was bringing one lens, I would go with the 50mm as it's more versatile.

Canon 5D Mark II, 30D, 40D, 50 1.2L, 16-35 2.8L Mark II, 24-105 4L IS, 24-70 2.8L, 70-200 2.8L IS, 85 1.8, 4 x 580 EX(II)

What they need is a 35-50mm zoom.  Best of both worlds!

+1 50mm

Though, I feel as though I should say "an equivalent to 50mm" so either a full-frame camera with a 50mm, an APS-C with a 35mm (eq. ~53mm), etc. I've gotten into the habit of roaming with a Fuji X-T1 and their 35mm f/1.4 and absolutely love it.

The best thing about that combination, in my opinion, is that 50mm is zoomed enough that if you see something across the street, you can shoot it from where you are without having to crop 95% of the photo. But it's not so far zoomed that you can't use it indoors. A 50mm on an APS-C (eq. 75mm) was just too tight for me to work with.

Well that's a tough call.  I'd have to say 50mm. Only because it's a bit more in the middle of the road.
