Bokeh refers to the aesthetic qualities of the out of focus portions of a photograph. For instance how specular highlights and edge lines appear. It's sort of the flavor of the out of focus areas. So a landscape photo where everything is in focus would have deep DOF, but no bokeh.

No wonder I'm lost! How are you supposed to remember all those thing's? Saw ISO on the list. Didn't see ASA. Why did they change the name of it even though it seem's they never changed to rating's? I think ASA is what it used to be called. Created doubt in my mind what was going on and nothing changed other than what they called it!

Because ASA, the American Standards Association, doesn't exist any more. It's now ANSI. And because systems got combined (way back in 1974) under the auspices of the  International Organization for Standardization , or ISO. It's not just about the USA.
