When looking for memory cards, are there any other brands worth looking at other than  Sandisk?

I want a larger SD card and saw a number of other brands, wasn't sure if worth looking at other than Sandisk?

From the beginning, I used Sandisk. Why? No Idea
but I don't regret and will stick with it.

Others had very pleasant experiences with other ma-
kers but I con't not comment on that.

There are as much important considerations than just
the makers, Chase. Getting the right kind of memory
card to support the performance of the gear it will be
use with; capacity and speed are among them.

Hello,

I totally agree with nikon shooter... I don't think you should evaluate a sd card just by the brand.

In french we say, qu'il faut comparer les pommes avec les pommes. So you should compare apples with apples.

Compare 2 different brand with the same specific capacity and speed and price, then you can look at the reviews to make your choice.

I personnaly use lexar cards 1000x and i never had any problem.

Le problème avec Lexar est l'approvisionnement depuis les
recents déboires de la compagnie.

Qu'est-ce qui est arrivé avec lexar? Je n'ai pas entendu parlé des déboires.

I used to like Lexar, but they aren't around.  So the last cards I bought were SanDisk.

There are other memory cards out there. but SanDisk is the best. You can check out some of the alternatives here , but there is a reason why SanDisk always ranks #1 in most lists and for most photographers.
