Y'all sound like great photographers. How did you learn all the lingo and jargon so when your talking about photography things make sense. I'm trying to become familiar with it but still get words and definition mixed up.

Matt it takes a while to learn all the lingo. If you have any specific terms you don't quite get, let us know. Here are a few common ones off the top of my head to get you started. Forum members please add/correct me.
DSLR: Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras
Fast lenses: Lenses with large maximum apertures. Generally f2.8 or larger
Prime lenses: Fixed length lenses (no zoom). Generally also fast lenses
Crop, Crop sensor: DSLR cameras with image sensors smaller than a 35mm film slide, the effect of which is to multiply the effective length of lenses.
HDR: High Dynamic Range images. Images that contain detail in both dark areas and highlight areas, made by combining several photos at different exposure levels.
That's a few that come to mind right away. Welcome and keep the questions coming.
