Trying to move to the next level

I've been doing photography off and on for a while now but I feel like all my photos like the same and are blah. Any advice for taking my pictures to the next level?

Get out of your comfort zone... for example if you shoot mostly landscapes try doing street photography, or portraits, etc. The "blah" that you feel may not be just the quality or look of your images but that type of image.

Are yiou shooting the same type of things over and over? Maybe a change of geography would help ... plan a day trip to somewhere that you have never photographed .... this type of thing can be fun.

Just a few suggestions

Bhowdy has excellent advice. I spent (still spend) a lot of time finding out why some of the pictures I like look the way they do. If you see a picture here ask what lens & settings were used or if there was any post processing. With that information in the back of my head I can experiment and bring new ideas & techniques to my pictures.
If you don't have one, spend some time with a fixed length lens. It will force you to think about your composition...a lot.
