Awesome!!

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

Nice image but could be improved by removing the noise in the sky and tone down the blown highlights in the grass.
Ir attracts lots of noise, some Irtists lasso the sky and run a noise remover first thing.I run a noise remover when I see noise especially in bw..did a bw conversion once that look great but it was too noisy, had to delete it and start all over!!
Hope you keep posting because it`s lonely here doing Ir!!
Have you been here.... irphotocom.proboards.com/index.cgi

I agree with Robbie , would start for seeking horizon , dust removal (sky) finally dodge and burn to recover detail in the blown white areas of the grass.

(sigh...) some day I will have an IR camera...

Overall , I really like it! Just needs a bit post processing.

Here: Layer via copy , then noise remove the new layer and make a layer mask to "paint" in black so you can recover the lower part of the image , do the same thing to recover details with the bottom.

Cheers!

After reading the comments I decided to look at the image on my pc rather than my tablet. I :agree:

Thanks, guys. I'll try the suggestions. I'm thinking about entering this in the county fair this year; i'm proud of the composition of the shot.

Robbie, I just posted an IR picture of a duck at a local park. :)

Ever tried the Nik plugins? In bright sun with clouds I normally shoots at -ec 1.3 to 1.7 in raw.Are you only interested in bw?If you aren`t into 'layers' Nik`s Viveza2 will tone down the highlights in seconds.
Just saw that your camera is a 820nm...Sweet!
