G11 not working with Elements 7

I have recently purchased a Canon G11 and am very pleased with it. However when I have taken images in RAW I can see them in Canons Zoom Browser but unfortunately not in my preferred editor Elements 7. Do I need to install a plug in of some sort? Suggestions gratefully received.

It should open them. If you right click on the filename in windows explorer and 'Open with' Elements does it work that way?

That’s probably because the G11 came out later, so you may need to upgrade to PSE8 for full RAW support.

I use the supplied Canon DPP as the RAW converter then port the TIF into CS3, I assume that you could do the same using Elements.

Yes you can use DPP to process the RAW and directly open the image in Elements.

Thank you so much for your help. I have solved the problem by downloading the camera raw plug in 5.6 which is compatible with the G11 and then copied it into my PE7 folder and hey presto!
