Canon EOS 6D preview interview

Here's a pretty good interview from the folks with CameraLabs.com on the new Canon EOS 6D which is suppose to be the 'budget' full frame DSLR camera. They really get some good questions answered here.

Enjoy:

Notes as I watch:

That lens looks kinda stupid on that cam IMHO.

Mmm it's a crappy 5Dii admit it bro.

Full frame alternative... landscapes/portraits... why not 5Dii?

Mmm I just had a thought, maybe my mother would like a 6D... Mmmm she doesn't need good AF I guess...

20.2MP I'd die without those 0.2MP lol

... similar to 5Diii should be good if it's true. Good for my mum? :o

Video. No headphone jack. LLLLAAAAAMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEÉ

Wifi and GPS is kinda cool.... does it make up for crappy AF?! Nope.

I can see how a hiker who does landscapes only would like this cam. Nice and light. No need for good AF. Probably has ND filters to make up for the lack of 1/8000. Not gonna use off camera flash probably so the 1/180 sync won't bother them.

I'm gonna recommend this to my mum... seriously.

Wait, the 650D has hybrid AF and the 6D doesn't. CANON PLS stop crippling your products.

Only one cross type.... laaaaaameeeeeeEË

I like how he brings up the D600 at the end. Single SD slot vs Dual.... ha ha.

Just in case you missed what he said:
It (the D600) does beat the 6D on some specs like:
Continuous shooting, wiewfinder coverage, AF points, it's obviously a couple of extra megapixels
Twin SD memory card slots... theres a lot of people when they heard about the 6D they went "Awww" because they heard about the 600D before and it sounded specs wise that the Nikon had beaten it, but then yours has got the GPS and the Wifi...

To which the guy replies... "and it's lighter"

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Sorry, that made me laugh.
