Need HELP on a Canon purchase

11 years 2 months ago #274567 by brichards2k2
I currently just purchased a Rebel T4i (2 days ago and have not turned it on yet). After reading around I was considering to go with a Canon 6D or 7D instead. I will be shooting (photography & videography) for Weddings, Sports events, Music Videos, Low budget commercials in about 6-8 months. Upgrading to 5D (I, II, or III), sadly at this time (actually very sad about this) is out of the question. As I am in the process of purchasing a Rig, EF & STI lense, Tripod, LCD. I will look into a 5D III in the beginning of 2014. Should I stay with my T4i or upgrade to a 6D-7D?

The T4i is a newer camera and will treat you good. The 7D is nearly 4 years old. I would stick with what you have, later down the line IF you were to get a newer camera, I would go with the 6D over the 7D just because it scores higher in reviews and it's newer technology.

Canon EF 50mm F/1.4 USM |

Thank you for the response. That actually makes sense and after reading around that seems to be the best idea. I appreciate your input. Do you recommend any specific lenses? I own a Design studio and we are moving into photography & videography. So all the video work we doing this year is probuno until we gain some good experience.
