Looking at a new camera

Video holds no interest for me at all yet all of the mirrorless cameras have this built in. My photography is all about stills and looking for a new camera that can be hand-held in low light and still capture good images. Initally, I was looking at the R6 mkii but the R6 is cheaper. If you were taking stills would the mkii offer any advantages over the R6?
I'm thinking in terms of the image stabilization as well as higher ISO to enable me to get by without a tripod except on special occasions. I would appreciate any advice you would care to give. Thank you.

If you are shooting video the only major difference in my book is going to be the slightly larger sensor.  20 vs 24.  Now what I have read, there are buffer issues with Mark II where the original R6 doesn't have these issues.  Autofocus is pretty much the same, although the Mark II has less points.  The Mark II has some software updates that make it detect things better.

Overall, I think much of the bigger updates are focused around video.

If you don't care about video, I would just go with the R6 and have some extra bucks in your pocket to buy a lens.
