Canon 20D What could be the problem?
1: BENT CONTACT PINS IN YOUR COMPACT FLASH CARD SLOT - All it takes is one bent pin touching another, or not making contact with your CF card to make your camera do weird things. Grab a flashlight, take your CF card out, and carefully check the slot to see if pins are bent or missing. If pins are bent it's likely the problem, and if you're carefull you can bend it back with a jeweler's screwdriver. If not......
2: CLEAN YOUR ELECTRONIC CONTACTS - Dirty or blocked lens/camera body contacts can also make cameras malfunction. Take the lens off, check the electrical contacts on both camera and lens for any blockage, and clean them thoroughly with alcohol. Check with several different lenses. 3: YOUR INTERNAL CAMERA ELECTRONICS ARE MALFUNCTIONING - Going to have to decide at this point if you really want this fixed. It's usually cheaper to get a slightly used 20D than to repair one these days.
