Blame Google

I want to know something about....

.. ahh, I should Google it?

Of course, when I search I'll probably click something on page one. Likely in the top 5 on page one.

But, what if something really good and really important about what I want to know is on page 3? Will I ever see it?

Google's algorithms have defined what we know about things for the last ten years or so. If you want to know how to use a camera flash -- what sites come to mind?

hmm

Matthew :)

Man, your Google success rate is a lot higher than mine! I usually go 4 pages deep, worst case 16 pages. Then try different tokens. Worst case half a dozen different token sets. Google's page placement really tells you nothing whatsoever about the quality of the content.

Kelly, I most always use two words in a search. Narrows it down.

I was attempting to point out, that sometimes the websites that are the most popular on Google, aren't always the best sources of information.

There's a lot of bad crumbs out there.

Be specific and you'll be fine most of the time.

If you're searching for information on the Nikon 35 1.4G then search for "Nikon 35 1.4G" not "35". LOL

In other words... don't be a noob.
