Memory Card Has Currupt Files

13 years 5 months ago #6511 by justanurse
I was uploading pictures on to my computer the other day, but a few pictures failed to upload. It stated that no data was found for the images, the images that failed are on my laptop but they are unrecongnizable and I cannot open them. Is there some way to recover the files?

You have probably resolved this by now, however I have used this software with great success. It is also excellent at recovery data from crashed Windows hard drives. I have rescued so many peoples family photos using it.

Sometimes the photo could be locked. You just have to insert the card back into the camera and unlock it.

Or the card is getting bad sectors which will corrupt the data. If one of the recovery programs given above wont do it try another card next time. Also if the photos that arent showing up are in a row then they maybe locked, if they are spaced then it is most likely the card dying on you. If they arent locked and cant be recovered the card is bad. But I would try another card and shoot some photos and see if you get thesame problem to eliminate the camera first.
