does the canon 1ds mark III accept cable trigger ?
ive took a quick look at it and desnt seeem to have a slot for a cable trigger.
im doing mostly landsacpe photos and i kind of like the canons for the price tag compare to nikon.
thanks again;BOB

Yes (of course) the 1DsIII (and the D3x) both have ports for cable triggers.

Both are great cameras, but the Canon is due for a replacement... so you might consider waiting or going Nikon.

So is the Nikon D3x. You could get the newest one, or have the current ones drop even more in price. They're all good options. Depends on your budget.

I'm guessing the D4 will have more DR than the D3 (s or x) has. Probably something new in the processor -- like Active D-Lighting Plus. That's what pros will be looking for, more so than video.

Qmamom and stealthy
Thanks for your statements, well its like stealthy said MF is more about IQ than looks or feel.
althou its always good to have a comfort zone with the material, but i guess if im willing to pay for the MF its because i cant see myself missing on some hi end quality.
again; many thanks to your all.

Well it depends how you define replaced. The D3x will be replaced by the D4? I dunno. If the D4 is over 24MP maybe. Then the D4x will be like 32MP or something.

If the D4 is 16-18MP and a high ISO monster, then it's still not really replacing the D3x (yet).

However Canon have updated the 1DIII (to the 1DIV) and the 1DsIII is still waiting for an upgrade...

So anyway, still might be time to wait.
