Flying a drone in the USA?

4 years 8 months ago #665074 by Carlos
If you have a drone over 250g, aside from register the drone with the FAA.  Is there anything else that needs to be done in order to fly a drone?  Do I need to call in a flight plan each time I fly?

  1. Fly at or below 400 feet.
  2. Keep your drone within sight.
  3. Never fly near other aircraft, especially near airports.
  4. Never fly over groups of people.
  5. Never fly over stadiums or sports events.
  6. Never fly near emergency response efforts such as fires.
  7. Never fly under the influence.

Or, on a slightly more official basis:

You'll need to label your drone, too. So they can find you should it crash.

Which regards to the label, didn't know that.  So how are they enforcing that?

Don't you need a license to fly a drone now?   Or did I get that wrong?
