changing a sky

HOW: open first image and in right hand panel double click the layer.
Create a new layer by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the right hand panel, its next to the delete icon.
work on layer 0 first.
select magic wand in left hand panel then click in the sky area whilst holding down the shift key until all sky is selected, then hit delete button.
open up your new sky, if you have any land or scenery in the photo crop it out so only sky shows.
go to select at top list>click all>select edit click copy.
now work on layer 1.
select edit>click paste>select edit click free transform.
whilst holding down the shift key move sky to cover area required.
click apply at top right hand corner, usually shown as a tick icon.
now lock layer one by clicking on it and clicking on lock icon both in right hand panel.
There are two ways of making the sky suit the image.
No 1: select images>adjustments>photo filter.
select a filter to suit image use slider to apply gradient required.
No 2: select images>adjustments>shadows/highlights, taske shadows down and highlights up until desired effect is found.
save as jpeg or psd.

Nice job with thr replacement, but the brightness of the sky doesn't match the brightness of the landscape. The sky is too dark for the landscape. Of course, this is my opinion only. I'm sure some would disagree.

I won't disagree. Technically, the replacement works, but it is too dark and too low contrast to realistically match the scene.

I am in full agreement here, I was really trying to get across how easy it was to change a sky, but yes my choice of sky should have been taken into consideration also. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
