Print from....?

Do you print directly from software like photoshop or lightroom? or do you save to your harddrive then print the picture through windows live gallery? Have you taken notice if printing through software compare to windows live gallery, if there is a difference in printing quality?

I always print from windows live gallery. Mainly because when I edit a photo, I don't need it printed right then and there. When i am ready to print, it's so easy to open it up from the hard drive to print.

I print from CS5. I also have LR3, but set up my workflow prior to installing the latter, and I'm not gonna change any time soon.....;)

Why so serious?

While I do have Windows Live Photo Gallery installed on my computer, I rarely ever use it. Certainly not for printing. For prints I usually stick with whichever editor I'm using at the time. That could be ACDSee 14, or Adobe's Elements, or Canon's Digital Photo Professional. Some of these support printer profiles for color management, but I've never had any luck with that.
