The latest versions of LR/ACR are really nice, and they've got the interface pretty easy to use. The basic adjustments tab covers white balance, exposure, contrast, and saturation. They've got the exposure sliders set up so anyone familiar with curves should quickly figure it out (curves is still available on another tab). Sharpening and noise reduction is wonderful. Lot's of local adjustment options. Build in lens correction database. That last one is cool sometimes, and not others. I like how it fixes distortion, but not how it deals with vignette (it messes up the corners for dim light, high ISO). I need to see if I can separate the vignette correction from the distortion correction.

The local adjustment brush and adjustment gradient allow very precise application of specific adjustments. My landscape processing is fairly similar to what he did, but he used several global adjustments to correct issues with just the foreground or just the clouds. It is so easy to apply any adjustment, exposure, contrast, clarity, saturation, color tint, sharpness, etc... to specific areas. I would have done some of it separately: correct the shadows only in the dark foreground, and correct highlights only in the bright clouds.
