Big recommendations for those that print their own photos...

I really enjoy framing up a photo that looks nice. I've learned the hard way there are certain short cuts you just don't take. For example a few months ago I tried cutting a corner and saving a few bucks by using the cheapo ink replacement cartridges that I found on Amazon. Big mistake, these screwed up my printer. Prior to that I was using HP and Kodak photo paper from OfficeMax. Don't get me wrong it looked good at the time, but my opinion of this went out the window when I tried a few different types of premium photo paper from FinestraArt. Boy did things change. I noticed a big difference in my prints and ended up reprinting all my photos in the house.

So... my printer is fixed and I'm finally able to print again! The crummy part about making recommendations about photo paper is that the photos I share, do absolutely no justice to the real deal. I tested a few different types of FinestraArt's paper, but you'll always hear me preaching about their ' Premium Pearl Photo Paper ' and ' Metallic Silver Photo Paper ' which happen to be my favorite. Honestly I just love the look, the texture and how this paper compliments my photos and almost adds additional life to them. Give you a heads up, the paper isn't cheap, if you want cheap paper, you can find that in OfficeMax, now if you want a quality paper I strongly recommend you try out one of FinestraArts smaller sheet count packages, see for yourself. Matter of fact here's the Metallic Silver photo paper HERE. and the Pearl photo paper HERE.

Here's what I printed out today:

1. Metallic Silver Photo Paper
2. Pearl Photo Paper
3. Pearl Photo Paper

My personal favorite printer for under $800 is Epson 2880 because of bleed (edge to edge) sizes it can produce. The 2880 is a 13" printer. If you want a 17" printer for a little more you can step into R3880 which is my favorite printer and you could probably pick up a used R3800 or R3880 within your budget.

That said Finestra Papers should produce better prints than you are used to no matter the printer :).

Happy Printing!!!!!!!!
Bryan
