Setup for a Wacom

I'm thinking about getting one of these.  Would anyone know if these are plug and play?

There's driver software you have to install. It's really pretty simple and straightforward (at least for an Intuos, it was).

Thank you, that's what I was hoping to hear.   How do you like yours, do you find it's a tool that you use often?

I am using mine on a Windows 8(.1) system. It's a medium size 3.

I use it solely in PS and plugins, where it is far superior to a mouse. And almost every serious image I produce goes through PS, if that tells you anything. So, yeah, it gets used regularly.

I've not bothered to fully switch everywhere because I use multiple computers. I also still find it easier/faster everywhere else to use a mouse. But the jury is still out; I may work on making the switch at some point. But that said, yes, a tablet is great. Find yourself a used one if you're unsure and are just getting started. I found mine on CL.

I hope someday I can justify a Cintiq, but that's way down on the must-have list.

:agree: The setup was a snap and very quick.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I've been watching a few of these on ebay for the last couple weeks.

Yes it is a pretty straightforward install. No matter how small you choose or how big, a Wacom will be of better use than a brick (mouse) for graphics.

The mouth watering Cintiq will be much much better...dreaming on....
