How to blend in Photoshop?

If I just cloned a spot on a photo and now there is a noticeable dot where I cloned, how can I blend the surrounding area around that dot into it so you don't notice it any more?

did you Happen to select the area first with the Marque tool and feather that area so it would blend the picture better. you might have to play with it a bit to get the right amount of feather to the area. I will see if I have any info on the correct way to blend the cloning to see if I can help you further

Don't overlook the blend mode options. The lighten and darken blend modes can be extremely valuable in working with the clone stamp to avoid that obvious retouched appearance. Adjusting opacity can help, too.

When cloning, it's best to use a brush that was feathered/soft it will help the blending into the rest of the photo. Choosing a hard edge will leave a noticeable spot.

took a look at them all and in my personal opinion the 3rd one down, smashing magazine, seemed to be the easiest one to follow
