Do you have a slogan for your photography business?

Do photographers use slogans for their business? I was just chatting with another friend online and the topic of slogans came up. I don't know to many photographers that do have one. Do you?

I would have to say I would have to be running a huge business before that would be on my list of things to do. I know lots of people who spent more time on names, slogans, and designing business cards than they did on creating sales. My 2 cents worth.... :beerbang:

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

You can if you want. Just make sure it doesn't suck.

The one I use for my video production business ( www.aidavproductions.com ) is "The Vision Makers". Took my friend and I less than 1/2 hour to come up with and it was a fun process.

I agree people should work on sales, but having a brand image is also a good idea and it helps with sales. Also, not having a business card when meeting people is a bad idea. Makes you look unprofessional and unprepared. It's not something that takes forever in fact IMHO it should be part of the initial business planning session.

These days you won't get far without a nice looking website and brand image... it's not hard with Zenfolio and the like. Also business cards are really cheap. A logo doesn't need to be super fancy to start and you can always change it later.

But just don't get too hooked up in the details of designing your custom stationary and put it ahead of designing your business strategy.

I should really practice what I preach more too.

A slogan will work, but as others said, some people spend too much time on the image of their company, rather than spending time on the things that truly matter. Yes, I'd say get a slogan if you want one, but it's not something that's extremely important to have.

Also, as others have said, I would suggest getting some business cards made. Get yourself a card and a business card holder. Little things like business cards can have a major impact on your business.
