Newbie wants criticism

I've been watching everyone for a while but this is the first time I'm posting. I would appreciate everyone's opinions. Any advice?

i think this shot is absolutely stunning, the butterfly literally jumps out of the shot with such definition.

I am more interested in the bee in flight. Awesome. It might be a tad overexposed but I like the comp

I agree - a great shot, and that bee coming in like a dive bomber is very interesting! I also think the flower may be a bit over exposed - if it was taken in raw, you may be able to bring that back a bit. But, really good.:judge:

PS - to go one step further, I think I would be tempted to try to darken the background so that the flower and butterfly, and particularly the bee stand out a bit more.

I agree, the flower is over exposed. I was taking my boys on a walk on a bright sunny afternoon. I can't quite get the exposure right on flowers.:(

A gray card will teach you more about how meters work than any book will:
