Nice choice of subject. The top two converted images are a tad bit "flat". A slight S-curve in Curves will fix that. I agree with chas, the horses really are well composed and you caught a great moment there.

Agree with Matthew regarding the two landscapes but the horses are very nicely done.
Is your monitor calibrated?That could throw you off if it isn`t.

my monitor is fine?? why do you ask??

Because of the low contrast of the landscapes,your images are normally right but aftertime it needs to be re-calibrated.

The first image would be fine as a black & white if you added contrast. The conversion could be done differently to make the barn roof stand out from the woods in the background. I would also pop the color version of that image a bit.
