Pinwheel

It's a rainy cold day here on the mountain, so I'm in playing with some of my pictures.

I put this one together with a cut/paste/free transform of one wing. I did a color fill on the background, then gave a nice big border.

Please tell me what you think. It was a good way to while away an afternnoon and it was a good learning exercise for me. AT 20", I thought it might make a nice sofa or office piece.

Thank you for looking and critiquing.

Marie

Thank you, Dori and Butterfly Girl

Thank you for your comments. I like most the pattern and colours. I have been told it is just.. too..too.. busy, too much border, too much photoshop.

I still like it though. I guess it is personal choice.

I really like it ....I think a higher contrast between the grey background and the blacks would really make the pinwheel stand out more, but I think it's really cool !

very interesting. Although it no longer looks like a photograph but more like digital art.

I dont think many people will appreciate how much painstaking work went in to making this Marie, its a work of art but their will always be a few that say you should do this or you should have done that, the main thing is that you like what you have done, if you do then it is good, then if others like it, relax and enjoy the glory, what I say is show us more lots more please.

Thank you, everyone. I felt really insecure about this piece because this was my first attempt at something more akin to digital art. My first critique of this image in another forum was totally damning, which made me wonder if I better hang it up and go back to my day job.
