Before & After Ranch

Hi All,

The original (shot #1) is drab so I played around with the levels, contrast, hue, etc and I'd like to know what you think of shot# 2. Is it over done? Are the reds to strong?
Thank you all for taking a look!
Sheila

I myself would back off the red just a bit. Maybe a bit more cropped off the bottom. I like the overall shot.

I think I will play with it a little more tomorrow...time for me to get off the computer. I can stay on here working on the pictures and lose hours!
Have a good evening,
Sheila

I think the changes were subtle in one sense. If you had shown only the modified version I suspect it would have gotten good reviews. Next to each other the changes are obvious and might seem overdone. I like the second photo a lot... :judge: :judge:  :woohoo:

Thank you all for your input! It is a beautiful ranch in Park City, Utah that I was lucky enough to tour on horseback with my camera, of course! :cheer:

There is something I don't like about the image, before and after, but can't put a finger on it. First one is too blah, the 2nd one is too saturated.

I worked on the color a bit...there seems to be a blue/purple cast that I can't seem to correct. Any suggestions? Let me know what you think of it now.

I like what you did with the rework. Barn looks more natural but with strong color. Does that make sense? Anyway I like it best so far!!!! Nice job!! :cheer:
