You don't. I use some cheap Vivitars (one 3700 and 2800D) I picked up on eBay for $15-20. Unless, you've got the TTL-cables, you're shooting manual anyways. I use the cheapo Cactus V2 to set mine off. If I need more light... slave flashes.
