Lacking inspiration and the ability to stoop coughing long enough to get a shot have been issues the last 8 weeks. I played around tonight with my Christmas trees for lack of anything else to putz with. I am pretty happy with the effort. If for nothing else than I held the camera steady and didn't cough. (I have been battling walking pneumonia)

Very well done MJ!!! The shot of the angel is my fave. Please take care of yourself, that walking pneumonia is not fun at all. Keep the spirits up and drink lots of water, this too shall soon pass.

It is what it is.

I hope you feel better soon. I love to play around taking pics of the tree...I think it's the contrast of the lights with the dark branches & all the reflections on the ornaments.. At least you are feeling better that you are with camera in hand again.

I like the ornaments...

No, I was using my 28-135 zoom. I will be pulling out the macro and tripod in another day or so. I bought a blue pointsetta to play with.

Thank You everyone for your kind words. I am determined to get better before the holiday, even if I pester my doctor to death  . I will be playing more around the house, as I was pretty pleased with the first effort. There is always room for improvement, right!

Barry- you picked my favorite of the bunch

At first all I could think was - you have your tree up already?? LOL- so far I got out a box of ornaments... Well I did go to a local nursery over the weekend and get some ribbon to re-do a wreath, a few decorations, etc.

Anyway, I like the angel but kind of like the first one too, somewhat subtle and/or ethereal but something about the pattern of the star somewhat floating that I think is cool.

Feel better soon, walking pneumonia doesn't exactly seem to be a walk in the park. Take care.
