Was shooting something else but saw this and had to capture it. CC welcome as always.
Thanks

Cool pic. Neat contrast! :judge:

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

I like it John and as Darrell said, the contrast looks fantastic.

Thanks for the feedback. The original sky is a very dramatic and sullen orange. But I liked this result too.

Nice capture! You might give it more impact by cropping a bit closer, perhaps at the expense of the featureless foreground, sort of a panoramic effect.

I like the contrast, but I think it needs to be crop to set the bike ride a little better

Thank you for the feedback. I must be doing something wrong when I resize to post here. When I open the image on my computer the rider is crisp and sharp. I noticed a lot of my images are suffering after I resize.

I think that might be what it is, because I had to look closer to see it was a bike rider. This is a quite striking silhouette though. I've been reading about elements of composition in art which for me is a refresher, but in this photo you seem to be using negative space - I'd just read how that can emphasize a sense of isolation etc.

Maybe trying a different crop or size could get it to a point where it shows up as it did for you and show the bike rider more.
