I stitched this together from 13 letters and it took me 5 seconds, if anyone wants to know the technique let me know, happy to share.

There was some blown out skies on the right panel. Since there was clouds moving through that might have been an influence but to answer the question - no I didn't lock down the exposure. The sun was also coming from the right. I'm willing to go back for a second take - donations to my cruise budget will gratefully be accepted!

What Adrian said is what I do a lot now... shoot in portrait mode to get more vertical in the frame, especially if I am not gonna use a lot of frames to combine. It may need a few more shots , but it does help.
